Tuesday Tales – Picture Prompt

Hey everyone! Welcome to Tuesday Tales! This weekend we’re back with Dani and Fitz in the first book of the Fighter Girlz series, Ememy Linez.

Don’t forget to check out the other incredible Tuesday Tales!

Dani clung tight to Fitz as they blazed down the highway. She glanced curiously at the scenery that zoomed by her. They were heading out of Saint Louis. Where exactly was this guy taking her?

She readjusted her grip on him carefully. She felt him suck in his breath under her touch. She had to admit it. He was incredibly hot. It was hard to remember that he belonged on the other side of the cage. Ryan had extended the olive branch to Fitz’s coach. Having the opportunity to face different opponents could only help them before a fight.

Instead on accepting it, Fitz’s coach used it against Ryan, mocking Team Duos. Then Diamondhead’s true colors came out. They assaulted Duos’s team members and fans. They were thugs. The thought creeped Dani out. Where the hell was he taking her?

The city skyline melted into rural cornfields. After what felt like an hour, Fitz coasted down the Main Street of a small town. He pulled his bike into a spot and shut it off. Ahead of the was a small family diner. A red wooden sign announcing “restaurant” swung in the warm breeze. Slipping his own helmet off, he hopped off the bike then offered his hand to Dani.

She pulled off her helmet and frowned at him. “Where did you take me?”

He cocked that sinful grin at her that made her heart race and her undies melt. “My hometown.”

“Dude. I’m not jumping into bed with you. I’m sure as hell not ready to meet your folks.”

“You didn’t want anyone to see us. They won’t here. So get off the bike so we can go eat. I’m starving.”

“Wow. Such a gentleman,” Dani quipped.

“Forgive me, my lady. Would you please dismount so that we might indulge in some nourishment?”

Dani slipped off the bike and pressed the helmet into his chest. “You’re a smartass.”

“You’re right. So let’s go.”

Don’t forget to check out the other amazing Tuesday Tales!
