Fitz slung his leg off the bike then leaned against it. His gaze wandered over her. It made her shudder. He smiled in appreciation. “I figured you’d write me off. Me being the enemy and all.”

“I probably should,” Dani replied.

“But you didn’t. Why is that?”

“I don’t know.”

He nodded towards her. “You look amazing. But I’m not sure you want to wear that on the back of my bike.”

“Why not?”

“It could be dangerous.”

“It’s not the first time I’ve been on the back of a bike. I’ve driven one myself. So don’t worry your pretty little head about it.”

“Okay then. It works for me. With those legs wrapped around me while we ride, I’m not sure we’ll make it to dinner.”

“You can drop your ego, Sweetheart. I’m not getting into bed with you.”

“We’ll see in the morning.” He stretched his hand out to her. “Shall we?”

Dani slowly descended the steps to him. Fitz winked at her as he caressed her hand in his before he kissed it. He let it go then mounted his bike. “Ready to go?”

Dani climbed on behind him and tucked her skirt safely around her. She hugged her arms around his waist. The feel of his muscular butt between her things and his perfect body beneath her hands set her on fire. No guy had gotten her that hot and bothered in her entire life. If she wasn’t careful she would end the night beneath him in his bed.

She frowned as they sat still. Looking up, she saw him dangle a helmet over his shoulder.

“I don’t want anything happening to your pretty little head,” he remarked.

“Where did this come from?” she asked.

“It’s been here the whole time. What? Were you distracted?”

“No,” Dani lied.

“Sure. Let’s go with that.” Fitz tugged his helmet over his head then fired up the bike. Dani barely pulled hers on before they flew down the street.
